Welcome to August!! This August feels a bit like last August, but with a positive twist—we have been here before and are proud of the healthy, wonderful year we had last year.
We are all excited to spend time with you during our Meet and Greet. These outdoor visits by our playground are a great way for young children to meet their teachers in a comfortable setting before school starts. We know that this time together will help you understand how our school will run this year and help you and your child feel secure and ready for the first day of school on August 30th. Our Meet and Greets will be held Monday, August 23 and Tuesday, August 24th. Ms. Debi or Ms. Margy will be calling you soon to schedule a time.
We ask that you bring a FAMILY PHOTO to the Meet and Greet. We will put this up in your child’s classroom. We would like you to bring your completed Child Information Form. We use this information to get to know your child’s interests and learn about your family.
Please remember that we need you to bring your supplies to the Meet and Greet so we have time to organize them before the first day of school. Every family will bring:
- 1 Hand Soap Pump FOAMING
- 1 Paper Towel Roll
- Disinfectant Wipes
- 1 box of salt
- 1 can shaving cream
Also bring a small tube or bottle of sunscreen that is labeled with your child’s name.
If you have forgotten what your family’s individual items are, just ask Margy or Debi when they call you.
Our 2021-2022 Family Handbook will be given to you at the Meet and Greet, along with some fun stuff to get excited about our year together!
Early Childcare and Education Department Health and Safety Requirements have been carefully monitored throughout the summer. We will soon provide you the COVID safe practices we will implement during the 2021-2022 year. We know that this year will once again demand much from all of us-including the ability to pivot, remain flexible and upbeat, and model resilience to keep us all healthy and safe.
We do want to let you know that two requirements will be the same as last year. At this time all staff and children 3 and older are required to wear masks inside. Children will continue to be screened outside and parents will not be allowed inside the preschool building once school begins.
Although this year may still look a bit different, our mission remains strong and true. We will make each day full of joy, laughter, and engaging child-centered experiences!
As always, if you have questions, reach out! We can’t wait to PLAY!
With hope, health and optimism,
Holly and Laurie
