Dear Families,

We were happy to see our families together on our playground! We wish you could have been here for the entire party. During the first part of our party, we had games and activities set up, including a Halloween sensory bin, obstacle course, ghost (white balloons filled with flour) toss, boo bubbles with dry ice, sticky spider webs, bowling, and fishing for their scarecrow treat bag. You may find more photos on our Shepherd of the Valley Facebook page.

We are beginning this month of November learning some classic nursery rhymes. We will be extending this literature through, art, science, music, sign language, dual language and dramatic play. Nursery rhymes are important for language acquisition and speech development. Rhyme and rhythm help children hear the sounds and syllables in words which help children discriminate between sounds and learn to read. During November we will continue to explore our own community with the vibrant fall colors and birds that surround our preschool. We will, of course, talk about our families, all the things that we are thankful for and enjoy our classic Thanksgiving songs and literature.

We are all getting excited for our ZOOM PARTY on Saturday, November 6th at 9:00AM. You will get to have a glimpse into our preschool life. We will share the nursery rhymes we have been learning this week with you. (These nursery rhymes are in the invitation your child sent home and attached to the email). We will talk about our curriculum and give you a Zoom tour of our preschool. We will end our time together with a very special slide show, so you see your amazing children in action and feel the joy of childhood we experience at our preschool!

Sign up for our conferences on November 11th. will be at the Arrival Table. There is no school on this day.

Our Preschool Finance Committee has asked that families put their tuition payment in a sealed envelope. We will have envelopes available at the arrival area. Thank you for your understanding.
