August 24, 2022 Newsletter

Hello SOVP families!

I am excited to start this new journey of becoming part of Shepherd of the Valley Community. Meeting all of you at the Meet and Greets was very exciting and I felt very welcomed.
My goal for the preschool is to provide quality care and brand new learning experiences for your child(ren). I am in route to obtain my directors certification which will help me in achieving this goal.
I am happy to announce that we will be bringing back family engagement events such as an ice cream social, Halloween carnival, and other fun family events throughout the year.
Every month we will have a newsletter sent out to let families know what is going on in the classrooms. I encourage all staff to take tons of pictures so families can have these memories.
Our daily schedules will stay the same except for drop off. Drop off has changed to 9:00 AM so our staff can prepare for the day. Extended care is still from 1-3 Mondays, Tuesdays and Wednesdays.
Our curriculum is designed by the highly qualified educators. It is filled with fun, hands on, creative activities and ideas that kids are sure to enjoy. The educators introduced many ideas such as science Wednesdays, nature tables , and many other experiments and activities. They encourage children to learn through play guided by our philosophy and mission for the school.
Volunteering is encouraged. Unfortunately, volunteers in the classroom are on hold right now because of COVID-19. We do encourage parents to ask teachers if they need help with classroom prep such as cutting things out, coloring, organizing or any other tasks that can be tedious for the teachers.
Please let me know if you have any questions or concerns.
I hope you and your children have an amazing school year with many adventures!
